About Modern Light Company
Decorative lighting for the whole house, from pendants and chandeliers to solar garden lights, delivered across Canada.
What we do
We sell decorative lighting for the whole house and deliver it across Canada. Chandeliers, pendants, ceiling and wall lights, bathroom vanity lights, and a solar and string light range for outside. Everything is bought online and shipped to you; there is no showroom.
Good lighting is not something you can see, it is something you feel. That is the reason this shop exists, and it is why every page here tells you the size, the bulb base and the colour temperature rather than adjectives about ambience.
How we work
Orders are picked and packed within 24 to 48 hours and delivered in 5 to 7 days across Canada. Delivery is free over $100 and a flat $30 below it. You get a receipt when you pay and a tracking number when it ships.
Most of the range is wired in: chandeliers, pendants, ceiling lights and most wall and vanity lights connect to your home's electrical supply, and that is a job for a licensed electrician. The solar lights need no wiring at all, and the string lights and the swing arm bedside sconce plug in. Every product page says which it is.
What we will not tell you
We do not claim a safety approval we cannot show you. We do not publish a star rating we cannot stand behind. If a page here quotes a measurement or an output figure, it is the figure the manufacturer publishes, not one we worked out.
